What are FigurePrints?
FigurePrints are one-of-a-kind, custom statues of your World of Warcraft® characters created using high-tech 3D color printing machines. Our artists pull your character from the virtual world and bring it to life.
How are FigurePrints created?
Our servers grab your latest character data from the World of Warcraft Armory, create a custom 3D model, and then let you pose it any way you like. Once you are happy with the way it looks you simply hit “Print” and our proprietary software prepares the model for printing. Our artists finish the process, turning your selection into a high-quality collectible. Once it has passed our artists’ inspection, your print is packaged carefully and shipped directly to your home.
I was with you up to the “printed” part. How do you print a statue?
We use technology previously reserved for the manufacturing industry, called rapid prototyping machines, to convert three dimensional computer models into physical objects. The electronic version of your FigurePrint is cut up into more than a thousand very thin slices. The printer creates a slice at a time and the slices are stacked on top of each other to form the final three dimensional statue that we call a FigurePrint. We remove it from the machine, hand finish it, mount it in a glass display case and it’s ready to go.
What are FigurePrints made of?
They are built out of a plaster-like powder that is then bonded and sealed to make it strong and colorful.
Will the character be exactly as I see it on the screen?
It will be very close, but not exactly the same. Please remember that to create these pieces of art, there are several stages that our artists and machines must complete to translate game data to a physical model. Our custom software, along with our art team, interprets the model data from the game and transforms it into a physical representation of the character. This interpretation includes increasing the resolution, identifying and thickening certain aspects of each model that are too thin to print, brightening the colors, and sharpening small details to enhance your individual FigurePrint.
During the final pass our artists may tweak the angle and position of the weapons and armor to make a stronger and more aesthetically pleasing final statue. They may also need to add additional support elements to make sure that the print is stable given the gear and/or pose you have chosen.
How big are FigurePrints?
We print all characters in scale relative to each other so depending on the race of the character and the pose chosen the resulting statue can be as large as eight inches tall. Smaller characters have the option to be printed on larger bases to give them a boost.
How much do they cost?
$99.95 plus $14.95 Shipping and Handling to any address in the US and Canada.
Okay, how do I buy one?
Because of the overwhelming demand and because each of our prints is hand crafted, we are forced to limit availability. The order process begins with creating an account on the FigurePrints.com website. This will enter you into the drawing for FigurePrints creation during that time frame. Once that account sign up period ends, we will randomly select customers based on capacity for creation. After that wave of FigurePrints is created, we will once again open up our drawing period to the next group of players. If you are selected to have your FigurePrint created, you will receive an email communication from us and you are on your way to owning your very own FigurePrint!
What if I don’t get selected to order one? What happens then?
You will receive an email after each drawing date letting you know that you were not selected for a FigurePrint this drawing period. From then on you will be automatically entered in the next drawing until you win or decide to opt-out.
I opted in during the last drawing period and didn’t get one. Does that mean I’m automatically opted in for the next drawing period?
Yes.
I just got chosen to create a FigurePrint! What do I do now?
You will receive an email notification stating that you can now create a FigurePrint. That email will contain instructions on what to do next and will also include a reminder as to the expiration of your slot in that production wave.
What is a drawing period? How long are they? What is a draw date?
A drawing period is the period of time that FigurePrints will be accepting opt-ins and new account signups for the current production wave. These drawing periods typically last around 30 days, with draw dates occurring monthly. A draw date is the day that FigurePrints.com will take all opt-ins and new account signups created during that particular drawing period and randomly select the accounts that will have a chance to create a FigurePrint. Once a draw date has passed, the next drawing period will begin.
Please check the homepage of www.FigurePrints.com for information on the current drawing period and the next draw date.
How long will it take after I order to receive my FigurePrint?
It typically takes 30 to 60 days from the time you place your order.
Why can’t I get it right now?
As a work of art, the FigurePrints product requires a great deal of individual time and effort. Trying to rush the process would be detrimental to the quality of the product.
Why do you do drawings? Why isn’t it first come, first served?
In an effort to provide the greatest number of players access to FigurePrints, we chose to use a randomized drawing system. That way, each player who registers has an equal chance to own one of these amazing pieces of art.
How many can I order if I’ve been selected?
You will only be able to create one FigurePrint for each time your FigurePrint account is randomly selected.
I was selected to create a FigurePrint this drawing period, but don’t want to purchase one anymore. Can I transfer my FigurePrints slot to someone else?
No. It is not possible to transfer your spot in production to anyone else because it is tied to your FigurePrints account. Therefore, if you decide against the purchase after being selected, the spot reserved for you is cancelled. This means that a forfeited spot will also not be filled/replaced with an additional drawing.
I was selected to create a FigurePrint this drawing period, but I want to hold onto it and save it for later. Can I do this?
No. Each invitation to return to FigurePrints.com and create a figure has an expiration of two weeks from the draw date. Once that two week window has closed, your ability to create a FigurePrint expires.
I was lucky and had previously created a FigurePrint. Am I automatically out of the running to make future ones? Do I have a lower percentage chance of getting selected during future drawing periods since I’ve already made one?
Having been randomly selected and successfully creating a FigurePrint in the past has no effect on your chances of getting chosen in future drawing periods. Each drawing period and subsequent draw date is completely random and is generated from the opt-ins and new account signups particular to that period.
Will I be charged to just create an account and opt-in?
No. There is no charge to create an account or opt-in to drawing periods.
What is the refund/exchange policy?
Because FigurePrints are considered customizable art pieces, they are non-refundable items. Should a FigurePrint break prior to you receiving it you must:
- Contact FigurePrints.com as soon as you have received it and noticed that your print has been damaged in shipping. DO NOT remove the glass dome and break the seal. Doing so voids your ability to return the print, and exchanges will be done on a case by case basis.
- Show proof that the tamper evident seal at the bottom of the product is not broken.

What are the plans to make this available to players in Europe and Asia?
Because of our limited production capacity we are only able to support customers in the U.S. and Canada at this time. As we grow we will be announcing support for Europe this summer. After our European launch we will be working to bring FigurePrints to Asia.
Are characters on Oceanic game realms going to be able to purchase a FigurePrint, or will that territory be rolled out later?
Yes, characters on Oceanic realms will be available at the launch of the service.
Why can’t I get my guild name or PVP rank on my FigurePrint? Do you have plans to do this in the future?
Due to the length of many of the guild names/ranks, we are unable to offer them at this time. Offering these as customizable aspects in the future is something we are exploring.
As a Hunter, my pet is an important part of my character, can you print it too?
Unfortunately we do not support printing anything other than characters at this time. This includes hunter and warlock pets, druid animal forms, and other non-combat pets. We have had many requests for this feature and we hope to add it at some point in the future.
